About the Artist -- Me!

There isn't a word to describe myself as a quilter.
Yet as a child, laying under a large quilt stretched onto a frame.
There was COMFORT in watching and listening to the women of the quilting bee.
STITCHING their LOVE into the FABRIC of warmth.

Grandma taught me the ART of sewing squares together on the treadle machine.
I wanted to fast-forward to the Grandma phase of life, so I could just quilt.
Not to be.
SEW quilting helped pay the bills through sharing the talent given to me.
When meeting the want-to-be quilters and have-to-have-it quilt orders from people,
I am filled with JOY.

CREATING for others, is a GIFT from the HEART.
That is what QUILTING is all about.
